About me
Early in my career as a research scientist, I found myself struggling with migraines, depression, joint pain, and weight gain. The medications I'd been prescribed helped some symptoms, but caused others. And they didn't address the reason for the problem.
So I did what I knew best, dug into the research and realized that my lifestyle was contributing a great deal to my symptoms. As I learned more about impact of nutrition and lifestyle on the rising rates of chronic illnesses, I started making changes that helped me start to feel better.
I found that the medical system had helped me in many ways, but also that it has gaps that limit it's ability to provide healing. I decided to be a part of the solution, using nutrition counseling to fill those gaps.
addressing the root causes of health issues, and empowering you with the knowledge and skills to take your health into your own hands. I know what it's like to be a stressed out modern human in a world where we are always connected to others through the internet. I understand that conflicting information from so many readily available sources can often create confusion, overwhelm, and fear. I’m here to help you simplify and understand what's right for you, at this moment in time. It takes mindful intention to take the steps that will move yourself toward your goal, and that can be hard.
Together, we’ll focus on nurturing a positive relationship with food and your body, while also ensuring your diet includes as much variety as possible. I’m dedicated to making nutrition care accessible to those struggling with chronic illness and helping you navigate the often contradictory advice found online. My goal is to provide clear, evidence-based guidance that supports lasting, positive change in your health and life.
